As the General Manager of Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) you will be accountable for the delivery of core technology services to the broader Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) and the day to day running of the ETS business, comprising 200+ technology professionals spread across six key
regions covering all time zones around the world.

These services are consumed by 13,000 plus employees across over 26 countries. To be part of

Day in the life:

  • Business engagement and alignment of core technology strategy in line with broader business strategy for each of the FCTG divisions and brands
  • Commercial outcomes in both engagement and contracting with external suppliers and partners
  • Compiling and delivery of services to an agreed budget and within agreed organisation service levels
  • Lead the development and management of secure, scalable, and reliable technology platforms that supports business agility and innovation
  • Project and product delivery of services to meet the agreed strategy
  • Day to day operations as required in the delivery of the above services
  • Alignment of services to FCTG Policies and any other agreed compliance based standards
  • All actions, including incident, change and problem management, as they relate to remediation of running platforms under the accountability of ETS

Key requirements:

  • 10yrs+ IT leadership experience - Essential
  • Travel industry experience - Desirable
  • Experience developing and mentoring staff, promoting professional growth and teamwork
  • Experience in developing and implementing IT strategies aligned with business goals
  • Experience developing and implementing IT governance frameworks &
    policies including defining roles, responsibilities, &
    accountability for IT decision-making, risk management, and compliance
  • Experience in ensure IT investments and initiatives directly support the organisation's strategic objectives
  • Experience overseeing IT risk management including identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring IT risks within ETS
  • Experience with ensuring IT operations adhere to industry regulations, data privacy laws, and internal IT policies
  • Experience managing IT budgets and resources effectively including allocation of budget resources efficiently and aligning IT spending with strategic priorities
  • Experience in establishing, monitoring &
    reporting on IT performance metrics including tracking &
    managing against key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT operations, security, &
    user satisfaction
  • Experience in proactively evaluate and improve IT governance frameworks to ensure effectiveness
  • Experience engaging with executive leadership and boards of directors including the ability to communicate the value and impact of IT on the organisation and advocate for strategic IT investment
  • Experience in optimizing IT spending through strategic vendor management and technology investments
  • Experience managing ongoing vendor relationships to ensure continuous alignment with organizational goals and prompt resolution of any issues
