About the role
The General Manager Service Delivery (GMSD) partners with the Managing Director and executive leadership team to ensure South East Water delivers healthy water for life with the highest levels of resilience, reliability and quality across the entity of its network. This includes oversight of a number of business critical operational portfolios including maintenance, operations, treatment and recovery, and asset performance. With a significant focus on technology-driven network monitoring and management, the GMSD takes a long-term perspective on operational excellence and innovation to ensure water, sewerage, and recycled water assets are continuously available, meet quality standards, and operate efficiently. As a key member of South East Water's executive leadership team, the GMSD champions cross-organisational projects, leads commercial engagement with key vendors, suppliers and business partners, and leverages service innovation to deliver improved customer outcomes.
About you
You are a proven senior operational leader with extensive experience overseeing complex asset portfolios within water, energy or the broader utilities sectors. Calm under pressure with the ability to maintain a strategic mindset within a highly dynamic operational environment, you have a commitment to service excellence and the ability to engage credibly across all levels of an organisation, from front-line field staff to the board, as well as with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies. With a passion for optimising innovation and technology, you are ready to play a critical leadership role in an organisation with an inspiring purpose - to deliver healthy water for life.
