About the role

Join us in shaping the future of animal welfare as the General Manager of Animal Operations! You will be instrumental in supporting and driving our organisation's vision, purpose, values and objectives through the development and execution of the Animal operation strategic direction.   • Exemplify organisational vision, values, and behaviours, fostering an inclusive, team-focused culture within Animal Operations.
  • Provide positive leadership and strategic direction, ensuring regular communication and feedback.
  • Maintain fair workload distribution and effective performance management practices.
  • Oversee comprehensive staff training and development initiatives.

  • Drive a cohesive approach for executing organisational strategies.

  • Ensure appropriate delivery of Inspectorate services in line with legal requirements.
  • Manage budgets and action plans effectively.
  • Optimize shelter intake processes and veterinary care for animals.
  • Support Wildlife strategies and partnerships for impact optimization.

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor degree is desirable. Animal related field advantageous (Veterinary, Animal Science, Behaviour, Investigations or Law Enforcement).
  • Post graduate qualification is desirable in business, commerce, operations, or advanced business analytics.
  • Significant experience developing diverse high-performance teams and culture.
  • Talent management experience in medium to large organisations.
  • Experience in engaging stakeholders and negotiating to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve deliverables in a cross-matrix environment.
  • Proven track record in recruiting and developing top talent.
  • High level of communication capability.
  • Ability to translate business strategy into tactical operating plans.
  • Proven experience in developing operational management capability, strategy, systems, and infrastructure.
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital technologies, trends, and best practices in digital operations and measurement.
  • Successful track record at senior leadership level.
  • Demonstrated success at senior leadership level.
