The Role
An exciting opportunity currently exists to fill a key fixed term role in the Finance team. Taking a hands-on approach, the Finance Systems Manager will drive continuous improvement and provide ongoing support and administration for Finance Systems. This is a key role within the commercial team to ensure smooth integration of Finance Systems, with robust controls and security.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the Finance Systems Roadmap.
  • Manage system and process improvements to build an integrated, future-ready platform for all finance processing and reporting activities.
  • Assess current system functionality and provide advice and recommendations on appropriate alternative applications available in the market.
  • Manage system vendors to ensure performance and timeliness of system change requests and projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct system testing, and provide user training and support as needed.
  • Ensure that Finance Systems remain flexible to accommodate reporting changes required by changes in regulation, reporting standards and taxation frameworks.
  • Own and develop the Finance systems usage and data policy. Play a key role and take control of the administration of Finance systems.
  • Build data governance framework for finance and ensure applied consistently.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting support to resolve system issues and optimize performance, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
  • Proactively identifies areas of risk, investigates root cause, and proposes strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Automation, improvement, and innovation of finance processes.


Your Background and Experience

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in an Accounting or Finance discipline, including CA/CPA (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Preferably 5+ years' experience in developing and managing Finance systems. Strong background in accounting processes, project management and business case management.
  • Experience in Finance and Finance Systems or related area, preferably using Oracle Netsuite, Workday Adaptive Planning, Workiva, Procure to Pay systems, Blackline, investment / banking portals and procurement systems is desirable.
  • Exposure to policy development, governance frameworks in information security and project management.
  • Understanding of Cyber security identification, prevention, detection, response, and recovery mitigation.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships across the business and engage with a range of stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong written, oral and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated analysis, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
