Finance Business Partner Retail $150k Super

The Company

Robert Half are exclusively partnering with an instantly recognisable retail group with a strong and growing presence both locally in Australia and overseas. Reporting into the Head of Commercial Finance and working alongside the broader finance function, you will focus on enhancing and optimising gross margins and play a pivotal role in driving financial performance and influencing strategic decision-making across the organisation. This position will collaborate across Commercial, Operations, and Marketing functions to identify and pursue crucial business enhancement and expansion opportunities in alignment with the overarching business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer critical insights to facilitate gross margin expansion by examining various aspects of the procurement and supply chain to operational efficiency and pricing strategies.
• Develop robust financial models to support procurement and supply chain functions in delivering commercial value.
• Build commercial awareness and understanding across Commercial, Operations, and Marketing teams, providing thought leadership on matters affecting financial performance.
• Collaborate with executive leadership (COO, CCO &
  CFO) to enhance understanding of key financial drivers and optimise business opportunities through insightful analysis translated into actionable strategies.
• Utilise advanced data analysis techniques (data mining, modelling, visualisation) to simplify complex business challenges into comprehensible solutions.
• Prepare and deliver business insights, analyses, and solutions to stakeholders at various organisational levels.
• Present information on capital positions, exposure, and opportunities, ensuring awareness and comprehension of capital levels and performance.
• Develop comprehensive return on capital models to influence capital investment strategy, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Contribute towards process improvement projects and system implementations.
• Ad hoc duties as required.

Your Profile

You will be an established Finance Business Partner with a strong commercial mindset, with proven ability to challenge and influence commercial outcomes. You will have strong communication skills and be self-driven to succeed with high attention to detail. Previous experience within a retail or FMCG environment would be highly regarded. Experience with SAP and Power BI also advantageous for the role.
