About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Business partner who brings excellent negotiation, influencing and communication skills to join the Coles Finance team, focused on our Meat Retail remit.

This role will see you working side by side with the Merchandise team to deliver sales, margin and cost targets, leveraging your financial expertise and strong communication skills to enable informed decision making and drive digital business strategy.

You will also;

  • Identify opportunities to drive sales over and above plans
  • Ensure plans are in place to deliver the strategic objectives of the business unit
  • Liaise with Meat Production team to provide insight and understanding of impacts to P&
    L from livestock and production costs
  • Drive insight and ROI analysis for transformational projects and business cases
  • Identify and define process and/or system improvements to enhance ability to deliver on objectives
  • Track key initiatives and promotions to ensure they are on target to delivered expected outcome
  • Drive the monthly forecast process ensuring all risk and opportunities are understood and communicated


About you and your skills


We are looking for a driven Finance Business Partner who is comfortable challenging and influencing key stakeholders, competent in data-driven storytelling, and capable navigating complex problems and ambiguity.

You will also ideally have;

  • CA/CPA or similar business qualification, or near with commercial awareness and business focus
  • Financial experience in a retail/FMCG or big 4 environment desirable, but not essential
  • TM1 and PowerBI experience desirable
  • Strong Excel, financial modelling, and PowerPoint skills
  • Proven experience in preparing, understanding and analysing financial information to identify business opportunities/challenges and recommend course of action
