Group Credit Structuring (GCS)'s aim is to support our customers by understanding their financial difficulties and working to develop balanced outcomes for our stakeholders.
Our Commitment is to work with our business partners in supporting customers who are experiencing financial difficulties, to stabilise their position with the view to rehabilitation and returning management to the line of business. Where this is not possible, GCS will work with customers in a collaborative and respectful manner that meets community and shareholder expectations. Through early engagement, sharing insights and data, GCS influences and drives outcomes across a wide range of stakeholders.
The Business Improvement Executive role is an exciting opportunity to lead a diverse group non-customer facing operational functions that support the wider GCS Team. These include operational assurance, training and development, regulatory engagement, process improvement, data remediation, project policy and process initiatives and other ad hoc operational functions. As a newly created role within GCS you will have the opportunity to work with a vibrant and enthusiastic team to grow capability across GCS.
Do work that matters:

Reporting to the General Manager GCS and as a member of the GCS Leadership Team, this newly created role will draw on your broad banking skills to support the GCS Team in delivering the best outcomes for our customers who are experiencing financial difficulties. You will play a key role in supporting the broader GCS Team to enable better risk and compliance outcomes and provide guidance and advice.
On any given day you will:

  • Work closely with your direct reports and their teams in the support of the broader GCS Team.
  • Drive a strong governance and compliance culture across GCS.
  • Review previously adopted processes and procedures to deliver improved efficiency and effective risk management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external to support the delivery of quality training and development across the GCS Team.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the GCS three-year strategy deliverables.
  • Obtain detailed knowledge of and comply with all prudential, regulatory, and other legal obligations that relate to your role within GCS.
  • Contribute to the identification of emerging portfolio, industry, and internal process issues.
