Role Details

The Department for Child Protection is seeking anExecutive Assistant to the Chief InformationOfficer to join on a full-time term basis.

The role is responsible for:

  • Providing a comprehensive personal and confidentialsecretarial, administrative and project support service to theCIO and the ICT and Information Management Directorate.
  • Conducting, completing and supporting a range of projectsand research as required.
  • Liaising with all levels of the public and private sector,Senior Departmental Officers and Ministerial Officers on behalfof the CIO.
  • Managing the Office's human resource managementrequirements, including monitoring contracts, leavearrangements, screening processes and participating in staffselection processes.

About You

We are looking for a vibrant communicator who thrives onproviding excellent customer service at all levels to internal andexternal stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have great organisational and timemanagement skills, including the ability to prioritise and managehigh volumes of work in a rapidly changing environment.

You will also have a proven ability to provide confidentialexecutive support to a senior executive and be able to deal withhighly sensitive and/or political issues with tact and diplomacy,whilst maintaining complete confidentiality.
