Estimating Manager Position Overview:

As the Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the estimating process, from initial bid preparation to final submission. You will lead a team of estimators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure accurate and competitive bids. Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a team of estimators, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and equipment.
• Review project plans and specifications to develop comprehensive bid proposals.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bids.
• Analyze project requirements and constraints to develop value engineering solutions.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to ensure competitive advantage.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, industry trends, and pricing.
• Present bids to senior management for approval and participate in bid review meetings.
• Monitor and track bid results and provide feedback for future improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in estimating, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
