Work Location:
We have opportunities based locally in Perth OR across Fortescue's Pilbara locations

Roster:
Monday to Friday - Perth-based OR 8D/6R or 4D/3R - FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and recommendations as a subject matter expert to improve equipment reliability
  • Review and improve maintenance strategies to help improve plant reliability, throughput and costs
  • Organise and facilitate weekly and monthly OEE meetings
  • Facilitate Root Cause Analysis and drive Defect Elimination for site teams
  • Support the development and implementation of the reliability and continuous improvement framework
  • Facilitate and lead root cause analysis investigations
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accurate reports for the Engineering and Reliability department
  • Lead and implement projects to improve equipment reliability, such as Maintenance Strategies reviews and Plant Maintenance optimisation (PMO).
  • Ensure site-based Maintenance groups act on recommendations to reduce downtime and prevent premature failures
  • Ensure correct application of health &
    safety standards and engage with personnel to drive a Zero Harm culture

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary Qualification in Engineering (e.G. Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic or related discipline)
  • Previous experience in reliability engineering or maintenance engineering roles
  • Proven track record of implementing reliability-focused improvements
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a multi-discipline, team-based environment
  • Knowledge and application of relevant mining legislations and regulations
  • Previous experience with SAP, Tableau, Microsoft BI, Apollo Root Cause Analysis, FMECA, RCM, LCC, and Lean Six Sigma highly desirable
