This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineering Projects Manager. Reporting to the Engineering Lead, the key purpose of this role is to lead Capital Project Management of engineering/business projects to a high standard of Safety, Quality and Performance, in compliance with all relevant internal and statutory standards and procedures. This role supports Ridley sites nationally. Brisbane preferred;
Toowoomba location considered for the right candidate.

The key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with current State or Federal legislation and Company policy (including financial authority levels).
  • Be proficient with all aspects of project management including project scope documents, quality plans, budget preparation and monitoring, resourcing, risk assessments, change management, HAZOP studies and close monitoring and control of variations to scope
  • Regular and accurate status reporting to all key stakeholders
  • Create and submit for authorisation, relevant engineering standards and other process development / improvement documentation as required.
  • Work collaboratively with, and in support of other project managers, by providing expertise, guidance and suggestions for enhanced outcomes as required.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to the approved timeline, scope and cost without compromising other project deliverables.
  • Ensure that relevant stakeholders are actively involved in the decision making processes &
    seek their input (working in a team environment)
  • Exhibit an appropriate sense of urgency and drive to "
    Get the job done"
    without a compromise of safety, quality or co-operation with the sites.
  • Liaise with relevant technical and plant expertise to ensure proposals account for identified current and future process requirements.

The key skills required for this role include

  • Experience in delivering complex construction or mechanical process projects up to $10M
  • Risk identification, escalation and management within large complex projects
  • Technically proficient at implementing the requirements of legislation of governing authorities including the requirements of Australian Standards where relevant
  • Ability to develop, review, refine and administer project scopes and contracts Exceptional contractor management and on-site supervision skills including communication and conflict resolution
  • Proven ability to ensure project documentation is compiled, maintained and updated to an accurate level throughout complex projects. This includes as built drawings and complete P&
    IDs
  • Proven ability to complete effective handover of projects including sign of on operator training
  • Proficient in CAD and competent in with MS Project (or similar) preferred or able to demonstrate ability to pick up and use new programs.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic, SCADA, PLC control systems
  • Organised and methodical individual with an appreciation of the need to be flexible and adaptable to deliver complex projects
  • High energy and ability to engage with all personnel on the job.
  • Curious, with an open and questioning mind.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across the business.
  • Generates trust, confidence and openness from others.
  • Qualified at degree level in appropriate engineering discipline (mechanical/electrical or process)
  • 5 years+ experience as a Project Manager delivery capital projects within manufacturing industry.
  • Experienced and comfortable presenting to staff, peers and executive as required.
  • Able to influence attitudes and beliefs through logical and tailored presentation of information to different work groups.
  • Ability and willingness to undertake regional/interstate travel.
  • Work weekend work if /when required to complete installation/commissioning of works.
  • Hold a Driver's License.
