The Opportunity:

The Engineering, Analysis and Innovation (EAI) Manager provides technical leadership and subject matter expertise in navigation warfare and Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) in support of Defence capability delivery and operations. The EAI Manager will directly manage a multi-disciplined team covering engineering, data analysis, modelling and simulation, and innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership and management to the EAI team to deliver APNT outcomes to the Defence customer.

  • Application of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and navigation warfare knowledge and technology to deliver APNT capabilities to Defence.

  • Provide subject matter expertise in the areas of advanced counter PNT concept and techniques including Electronic Attack, jamming, electronic protection, electronic surveillance and GNSS receiver technology.

  • Application of knowledge of navigation warfare test and trials requirements.

  • Knowledge and application of advanced modelling and simulation tools and techniques for navigate warfare capabilities.

  • Knowledge and application of Radio Frequency technology associated with navigation warfare.

  • Conduct of studies and production of technical reports.

  • Conduct of working groups and other group forums.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

Essential:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience

  • Proven extensive knowledge of navigation warfare, GNSS and associated PNT.

  • Proven extensive knowledge of counter PNT techniques and technologies.

  • Extensive knowledge of Australian Defence operations

  • Demonstrated leadership of multi-disciplined team

  • Demonstrated effective stakeholder management

  • Undergraduate four-year degree in a relevant engineering discipline

  • Holds an Australian government NV2 security clearance as a minimum.

  • Eligible to access ITAR controlled technology.

Desirable:

  • Chartered Professional Engineering status or eligibility.

  • Registered professional engineer in an Australian jurisdiction.

  • Experience with delivering programs with an ASDEFCON framework.
