Description
Joining the Maintenance Team in Bowen Hills as an Electrical Service Maintainer will see you:
-
Carry out routine examinations
Fault finding
Interrogation and diagnostic testing on heavy rail equipment installed on the QNGR Project.
Actively maintain and repair rail equipment installed
Fulfil safety procedures
Supporting in-service faults and providing technical support to drivers as required.
Performing damage and vandalism repairs as required including data capture and effective use of the system (SAP).
Report daily and weekly on activity, problems found and measures taken to maintain
Operating and maintaining workshop equipment
Following instructions to complete tasks, and the ability to work both in a team and independent environment
General workshop duties
Profile
To be successfully considered for the role you will require:

Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
Australian qualifications as electro-mechanical or electrician or similar with experience and good troubleshooting skills.
QLD Electrical License
Ability to read and understand schematics
Ability to complete shift work
Excellent communication skills
Rolling stock / Aviation / Mining experience a bonus (not essential)
Ability to pass a category 2 medical
Ability to pass a police check
Ability to get 2 positive references
Complete an Anti Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorism Financing check.
Job Offer
The casual role, full-time hours is projected to be a 6-month assignment with a view to extension and/or a permanent position directly with Alstom.
The role hours will be 5.30 am starting Monday to Friday, a shift begins with then progressing to a 24/7 lifestyle roster which involves day and night shifts, 7 days a week on a rotating roster including weekend work.
Penalty rates are applicable where relevant. PPE is also provided with Adecco paying the candidate weekly.
Permanent roles are also available.
Roles will be offered at Alstom's discretion.
