About our Team

ALSPO is a Sustainment SPO delivering air mobility capabilities to support combat, humanitarian, diplomatic and peace-keeping operations. Our platforms and projects provide Air Mobility capability to Air Force and enhancing the RAAF's C-130J Hercules (RAAF Richmond) and C-27J Spartan (RAAF Amberley) aircraft.
The C-130J Hercules is a medium-sized tactical airlift, which can deliver cargo to airfields with short un-surfaced runways, and airdrop cargo and paratroops by parachute and is an important air link for Australian Defence Force personnel overseas. The fleet consists of 12 aircraft and one Level 5 simulator and operated by No.37 Squadron.
The C-27J Spartan is a Light Tactical Fixed Wing aircraft, operating in remote and austere environments with a useful payload and ability to operate from rudimentary airstrips. The fleet consists of 10 aircraft and is operated by No.35 Squadron and conducts regional peacetime operations such as humanitarian and disaster relief, search and rescue, aero-medical evacuation and airlift tasks.
ALSPO supports Defence to achieve its mission by providing sustainment solutions. Founded on a strong Air Force legacy we are resourced by ADF, APS and contracted support. The Defence Values underpin our behaviours and the organisation prides itself on an inclusive service delivery model. Our team operates from RAAF Base Richmond, the position has the responsibility of being customer and personnel centric and will be required to work predominantly (4 days) in location. You will be at the cutting edge of innovation in Defence, supported by tailored Professionalisation Pathways to support your development and unique and varied career opportunities. Our people are capable, committed and diverse. We support an inclusive culture that emphasises respect and collaboration. Occasional travel to Canberra and Brisbane will be required.
