About the role
Are you an Assistant in Nursing or a Nursing student? Are you looking for a role where you can utilise your skillset, build on your knowledge, and challenge yourself? Then we want to hear from you!
We are currently looking for compassionate, knowledgeable, and caring support workers to support our wonderful client in Glossodia NSW.
As a disability support worker, you will work alongside Allied Health and Nursing teams to implement and maintain the clients personalised care and support needs, working towards each individual short- and long-term goals.
Shift times:
Monday to Sunday :
0700-1500
Monday to Sunday :
1500-2200 + Sleepover (Awake Period 6am-7am)
About you:
Must have an understanding of the disability industry and providing person-centred support to individuals
Passionate about supporting independence and providing in-home support
Knowledge and experience working with Brain Injuries &
Behavioural Support
Reliable and honest people with the ability to adapt to new environments
Duties:
Continual clinical assessment of client
Community Access
Personal care including skin integrity management and pressure area care
Assisting alongside the Support Worker with ADL's
Manual handling
Supporting the client with activities at home and out in community
About you:
Australian Driver's License and reliable car
NDIS Workers Screening Check *Mandatory*
Current First Aid Certification *Mandatory*
Current CPR Certification * Mandatory *
English Fluency - verbal and written
Certificate III in Individual Support of equivalent advantageous
