Stakeholder Design and Delivery is looking for a highly motivated and capable leader to be part of its' operational section. The successful applicant will have proven leadership skills, strong written and communication skills and a deep understanding of ACT Government business including policy development, contract management and procurement.

The Policies and Programs team covers a diverse portfolio which includes programs, policies and services in areas including Languages, Excursions and Physical Activities, Care and Use of Animals in Schools, Religious Education, School Sport, Aqua Safe, the Year 10 Excellence Awards and the management of a range of contracts. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing leadership to the section and across the Branch, including managing human and financial resources, determining priorities, and exercising delegations.

Our ideal candidate takes ownership of issues and will demonstrate the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders to understand business requirements and work collaboratively to develop effective solutions that can be applied universally. This will include working collaboratively across business units and directorates to develop documentation and run workshops.

Ideally you will have proven ability to establish and manage projects within tight timeframes, build relationships, communicate effectively and influence stakeholders.

You have the ability to 'wear multiple hats' and juggle priorities, are resilient and tactful, passionate about what you do and committed to making a difference.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

• Possession of a current driver's licence and access to a private vehicle.

Notes:
This is a temporary position available immediately for three months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
