Details We're looking for our next Director of Organisational Development. You will work as part of a strategic human resources team to support our leaders and the diverse workforces that make up the JACS directorate. This is an opportunity for you to shape the future of Organisational Development within the directorate working with new leadership in the People and Workplace Strategy Branch and a new directorate Strategic Plan.

You will lead important work in the following areas:

  • Planning, implementation and evaluation of learning and development to enhance workforce capability;
  • Planning and managing the JACS Workforce Capability Development Budget;
  • A range of HR reporting and workforce submissions for the JACS Annual Report and ACT Government State of the Service Report;
  • Coordinate whole of government programs including Executive leadership, the Graduate program and the ACTPS Employee Survey for the directorate;
  • Manage a small team and build trusting relationships across the directorate.

Notes:
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process which may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. This position will be working in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. You will have the option to work from home several days per week and/or in one of several ACT Government flexi spaces across Canberra. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a work sample test as part of the next stage of the selection process.
