Director of Nursing (Rural and Remote - CAMOOWEAL)

Camooweal is a country town with two roadhouse/service stations, a local pub that provides accommodation, meals and caravan park facilities with a racecourse hosting a rodeo, camp draft and bush races every year. The Drovers Heritage Centre hosts the yearly Drovers Camp festival;
an outback event that incorporates the National Bronco Branding Championships, country music concert and street festival.

Permanent full-time opportunity as Director of Nursing, located in Camooweal.

This role will provide advanced operational management, leadership and clinical expertise in the provision, coordination and delivery of safe and quality care and health service activities for the Camooweal community.
The DON is required to provide direct nursing care at an advanced nursing level including the coordination, management and provision of on-call service requirements such as the Hospital Based Ambulance (HBA) model of care.

What's on Offer:

base salary ranges between $152,448 - $163,311 p.A. (Nurse Grade 9).
4 weeks p.A. recreational leave with loading
12.75% employer super contribution
rural incentive >
$230 p.F.
professional development allowance of >
$115 p.F. and extra leave (3 days p.A.) to attend training or conferences.
Isolation bonus - 1 yr $3500, 2 yrs $10,500, 3>
yrs $7000
2 x return airfares to Cairns p.A. with 5 weeks rec leave (+ 17.5% loading)
2 weeks p.A. professional development leave + travel as required and enrolment and conference costs for approved courses and conferences.

The Camooweal Primary Healthcare Centre, North West Hospital and Health Service, Queensland is a rural health service based at Camooweal. The service provides a comprehensive range of health services to the Camooweal community. These include acute care, aged care, community health, general outpatient services, allied health services as well as other visiting health services.

The Indjalandj-Dhidhanu people are recognised as the traditional custodians of the lands around Camooweal.
