About the opportunity

The Director of Global Marketing and Recruitment is a key member of the Vice President (Future Students and Outreach) leadership team and reports to the Executive Director, Global. This role entails leading the University's strategic international marketing and channel management functions, as well as managing crucial stakeholder relationships. The Director offers high-level guidance and support to faculty Executive Deans, the Academic Portfolio Office (APO), and other internal stakeholders to drive the achievement of the University's strategic objectives. Core responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership and direction for international student recruitment to meet load and revenue targets.
  • Oversee education agents, channel partners, and recruitment contractors managed by Southern Cross Global.
  • Offer expertise in sales and marketing to enhance international student recruitment, branding, market intelligence, and online/digital communications.
  • Contribute to new product development and optimise the University's global positioning. Manage recruitment staff, operations, and budgets to ensure successful recruitment of quality international students.

About you

The preferred candidate will possess leadership experience in international student recruitment and business development with a track record in managing professional staff.

You will have extensive experience in developing strategies, implementing projects, and monitoring outcomes coupled with a strong understanding of Australian government regulations related to international students and the ability to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds. In addition, the successful candidate will have the willingness to travel internationally and work flexible hours.

A commitment to cultural diversity, knowledge of current trends in the Australian education sector, and familiarity with equity and workplace health and safety principles are also essential.
