Director Geriatric And Rehabilitation Services

About the role

• The Director Geriatric and Rehabilitation Service (GARS) STARS will be accountable for the delivery of multi-disciplinary safe evidence based, patient centred rehabilitation and geriatric services as well as providing minimum 1 day per week of direct clinical care within STARS.
• The Director, in consultation with the Executive Director STARS, will operationally lead and govern the delivery of effective, innovative and fiscally responsible rehabilitation and geriatric services at STARS.
• The role, in consultation with the ED Internal Medicine and Emergency Services (IMES), operationally support and facilitate the delivery of acute based Geriatric and Rehabilitation Services within the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) including Geriatric Rehabilitation Liaison Service (GRLS), Ortho-Geriatric Liaison services (OGLS), Residential Aged Care District Assessment and Referral (RADAR) and Geriatric Emergency Department Initiatives (GEDI).
