You will play a key role in coordinating the department's compliance activities and projects in the Swanbank region to achieve positive environmental outcomes and balance the needs of a variety of stakeholders.
This role is open to all applicants;

Your contribution:
- Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team to deliver priority environmental compliance outcomes, in challenging environments.
- Use statutory tools and make recommendations for enforcement action in accordance with departmental enforcement guidelines.
- Lead and/or represent the department in collaborative, consultative and tense negotiations with all levels of government, industry and community groups to broker outcomes and solutions that support project deliverables.
- Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.

About you
- You can interpret and apply legislation and exercise regulatory powers.
- You have experience in identifying complex compliance problems, developing plans and possible solutions including research, comprehension and critical evaluation of relevant legal and technical information and data.
- You can lead a high performing team through supervision, mentoring and peer review.
