About the Role and You

With the scale and complexity of TMR, with 80 different occupational groups, this is an exciting opportunity to serve in one of the largest Employee Relations positions across Queensland Government.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief People and Culture Officer in the Human Resources Branch, you will lead 3 direct reports and a team of 20 across the following workstreams:
Industrial Relations, Case Management and Internal Policy.

As Director of Employee Relations, you will lead the delivery of effective strategic IR and ER advice across the department. You'll proactively engage with leaders, human resources, work, health and safety representatives, government agencies, unions and other stakeholders, fostering genuine partnerships to manage employment and industrial challenges. You will contribute to internal briefings, CBRC submissions, Ministerial and ELT updates.

The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in the IR and ER field, with contemporary generalist human resources knowledge. You will excel in leading the delivery of outcomes across large, diverse and geographically dispersed workforces, whilst providing strategic, insightful and engaging leadership skills.
