Director, Architecture and Technical Assurance

Sydney CBD/Hybrid
Type:
3 months Contract I $1560 per day
Purpose:
The Director, Architecture &
Technical Assurance is responsible in building the architecture and technical assurance in the organisation. The role leads the Change Advisory Board as well as the Architecture Review Board. The role leads the design and implementation of architecture and technical framework, strategy, policy and guidelines, to ensure that architecture and technical planning is embedded in organisation project delivery and business as usual practices.
Skills and experience
Essential:
- Demonstrated deep technical expertise in Information Systems development, including all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (from Concept Development to Deployment and transition to operations)
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.G. TOGAF)
- Experience in managing multiple vendors and suppliers to deliver time critical, interdependent business outcomes
- Experience leading multiple concurrent solution architecture and technical assurance initiatives in a time pressured environment.
- Ability to quickly gain an understanding of the organisations operating environment and business functions in order to ensure advice and work output are relevant and fit for purpose
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior executives, staff from other areas such as the enterprise portfolio management office, IT, information security and project management teams.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Cyber Security, with an emphasis on secure software systems.
