Description
This is an internal posting, only current UHV employees will be considered.
Coordinates institutional planning, research, and assessment. Oversees institutional research to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of institutional data to external and internal constituents. Designs and implements successful, innovative retention programs and practices. Serves as university data management officer.
- Coordinates and supervises the university's planning and assessment activities, particularly annual program and unit assessment and budget planning.
- Serves as liaison to external regulatory agencies, including THECB and SACSCOC, related to accreditation, substantive change, and new programs.
- Assists academic programs, student support units, and administrative units with the design and use of assessment to improve program and unit quality.
- Conducts qualitative and quantitative research projects related to academic affairs, planning and assessment, program development, and other policy issues.
- Coordinates academic program review;
assists with collectionand preparation of data for accreditation self-studies. - Provides assistance to individuals and units with research design and statistical analysis, including overseeing administration of campus-wide surveys.
- Monitors developments related to states' authorization of online courses and programs.
- Coordinates the activities of institutional research to support strategic planning and the university's mission.
- In coordination with leadership teams, assists with implementation of the university's student retention initiatives.
- Develops, oversees, and assesses university-wide programs, and services that are informed by best practices in higher education to advance student retention.
- Recommends innovative university-wide practices and revisions to existing practices to support improvement.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Conferred Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and institutional research/effectiveness experience including graduate coursework Minimum Experience :
