The DI Data Lead enables realisation of the data vision and requirements for design &
build within the Digital Insurer program. This person will be responsible for driving the execution of key data-related requirements and uncovering synergistic benefits that can be leveraged across divisions. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of data analytics.

The role will work closely with supporting resources, such as Business Analytics and technical subject matter experts (SME's), ensuring strong alignment between stakeholder requirements and program imperatives are achieved.

The intent of the Digital Insurer program is to enable the business to deliver new products (including modular products), seamless customer experiences, and support delivery of a simpler, digital business. Radical simplification and significant improvement in the speed &
cost of change are a critical measure of success of the program, and this role must ensure this lens is applied to both requirements given to, and deliverables produced by delivery teams.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Acts as a representative for business in terms of future data landscape.
  • Identify and implement synergistic opportunities that benefit multiple divisions.
  • Examine, assess, and execute pathways to streamline data and reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy, considering any upstream risks, downstream impacts and strategic alignment between business and technology goals.
  • Collaborate with data teams for alignment where possible, in line with radical simplification as part of the North Star Principles.
  • Prioritise backlog items based on trade-offs between simplification objectives, time, and business requirements.
  • Uplifts the data quality and integrity by ensuring that standards and frameworks for management and collection of data are adhered to including appropriate use of reference data tools.
  • Prepares materials to ensure effective communication of data requirements and/or to explain future changes to the landscape.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data analytics and visualisation tools.

About You:

  • Bachelor's or higher academic qualification, with a degree in either Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • Significant experience working in or collaborating with data &
    analytics teams with knowledge of Consumer, Commercial or Personal Injury Insurance
  • Some experience organising &
    facilitating engagementsessions with stakeholders across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience developing presentation materials to simplify the message of a technical concept.
  • Some experience working on data transformation programs.

Key Capabilities:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and analyse complex information with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in data analytics tools and software.
  • Proficient in understanding data models &
    their application to business processes
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Proficient relationship and influencing skills.
  • Able to translate and communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
