Data Consumption Architect

• 3-6 month initial contract with Likely extension
• Hybrid working environment - 3 days min onsite in Melbourne
• Must have valid work rights in Australia
• Data Consumption (Web APIs) skills
• Designing the roadmap of data consumption patterns

As the Data Consumption Architect you will be responsible for establishing and communicating common standards for data consumption as well as designing and overseeing the development of consumption capabilities (e.G., web APIs) that meet the needs of stakeholders, the technical architecture, as well as the business objectives.

This includes designing data consumption patterns as well as supporting implementation of data consumption patterns.

Knowledge and Experience needed to be considered:

• Proven experience building and maintaining data consumption patterns, incl. web APIs, shared queue 1 brokers, JDBC provisioning points, and data virtualisation tools (e.G., StarBurst, Denodo)
• Programming skills including Java, .Net, Python, Node.Js is essential
• Web technologies including HTTP/HTTPS, RESTful architecture, SOAP, GraphQL and API design principles
• Strong conceptual understanding and implementation proficiency of event driven communication patterns (e.G., MQTT, Kafka, AWS kinesis, )
• Proficiency in consumption pattern testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks
