The Purpose:

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will ensure the security and integrity of our computer systems and networks. You will work closely with other IT professionals to identify and mitigate cyber threats and implement security solutions that protect our organisation from cyber-attacks.

This role requires a proactive and analytical mindset, a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, and the ability to stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies.

Primary Accountabilities, Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct security assessments to identify vulnerabilities in our computer systems networks, and cloud environments.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Design and configure security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection, and encryption systems.
• Monitor network activity to identify potential threats and respond to security incidents promptly.
• Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents to determine the cause and extent of the breach.
• Security Infrastructure Development:
  Design, implement, and manage security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus, and encryption tools.
• Threat Detection and Response:
  Respond to and mitigate security incidents, conducting thorough investigations and root cause analyses.
• Vulnerability Management:
  Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses.
• Risk Management:
  Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Research and Development:
  Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and methodologies.

We'd love to hear from you if have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience in cyber security roles, preferably within the payments sector.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies
• Experience with security assessment tools such as vulnerability scanners and penetration testing tools.
• Strong knowledge of network security, encryption, and data protection methodologies.
• Proficiency in using security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, and endpoint protection.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
