About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Finance Department. St Vincent's Health Network Finance Department is responsible for ensuring Private, Compensable, Medicare Ineligible and Public patient fees management closely supports Hospital budget priorities while adhering to relevant policies and procedures. An integral part of this unit, the Credit Department ensures that moneys are received from patients, insurers and other customers on a timely basis, thereby contributing to the Networks' positive debtor and cash positions.


The SydPath billing and credit control team is responsible for the delivery of all activities assigned to this unit. The Credit Officer will be responsible for maintaining the debtor's ledger under their control. This will include managing communication, responding to inquiries, liaising with debt collection agencies and other ad-hoc duties as required.

2. Experience working in high transactional area, dealing with high number of emails and phone calls per day.
3. Exceptional verbal communication skills.
4. Proven ability to write clear and concise business/client communications.
5. High level of effectiveness in a team-based environment and an ability to work autonomously.
6. Proven organisational skills with demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time.
7. Proven problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
