  • Focused on external and corporate communications and media engagement

A Corporate Affairs Partner (CAP) supports Roche Australia by developing and implementing best communication practices and engagement plans. The CAP's role is essential for building and protecting the organisations corporate reputation, supporting access to and the quality use of medicines, shaping the socio-political environment with regard to innovation and access, and enhancing organisational engagement.

Key responsibilities:

The role will focus on delivering best practice external communications and media engagement. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

External Communications

  • Participating in the development and implementation of communications and engagement plans for key issues and projects (brand/disease/corporate), with cross-functional input

  • Engaging with Roche global and APAC communications counterparts as needed

  • Providing strategic communications guidance on external ad-hoc issues

Corporate Communications &
Social Media

  • Developing leadership and executive communications for upcoming key events

  • Overseeing content channels e.G. website and LinkedIn for purposes of building and strengthening Roche narrative to external audiences

Media Relations and Engagement

  • Working with other members of the team support excellent relationships with media and other relevant stakeholders

  • Supporting the monitoring of local media and industry communications for trends, sentiment, and developments relevant to brands/disease areas and the business

  • Developing and providing key messages and narratives for internal stakeholders to engage external partners and the broader community

  • Preparing key stakeholders for media engagements through media training and development of key messages

Who you are:

You have:

  • Tertiary education in communications/public relations, health policy and/or business/commerce

  • Completed the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct training

  • Proven experience in public/media relations, internal/external communications, reputation management, and advocacy within the commercial pharmaceutical or health sector

  • Experience at a PR agency or in-house at pharmaceutical company (preferred)

  • Appropriate experience/relationships with key Australian health media and health advocacy organisations

This 12 months max Term contract role (parental leave cover) can be Full-time (preferred) or Part-Time (0.6 FTE) and is only open to candidates who have full eligibility to live and work in Australia.
