Content Design Principal (Service and Support)

About the role:

This critical leadership role sits within the brand and marketing function and manages the team that crafts and delivers a wide range of customer-facing content at Origin, with a focus on customer service and support. This role is tasked with inspiring, growing and leading a team of ten plus content designers who develop content across website, app, email, as well as other platforms and channels.


More about the role :

Champion customer service and support across the business ensuring consistent application of Origin brand voice, messaging and CX/UX principals

Roll up your sleeves and work as a content creator, as well as supporting and motivating the content team

Be able to prioritise work into the team, juggling competing deliverables and deadlines, manage senior stakeholder expectations and apply a 'progress over perfection' mindset in the design and delivery of solutions

Embed a culture of customer centricity and design thinking to deliverables that may include customer journey mapping (including identification and execution of customer experience improvements), and use of data and insights to support a recommended approach

What will you bring?

As an experienced people-leader, you have a track-record of navigating high volumes of work, resourcing teams and an ability to set stakeholder expectations accordingly. With a transformational mindset, focused on innovating through new tools, technology and approaches you will demonstrate the following:

Extensive experience across a range of dedicated content / customer experience design roles, including experience managing a team

Deep, demonstrated familiarity and an appetite for delivering and constantly improving and enhancing highly operational content.

A qualification or industry experience in marketing design, communications or similar

Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team and across multiple projects simultaneously

Depending on your area of expertise, you should have expert / emerging skills across process and tools (inc. Slack, Asana, Jira, Confluence, Figma, Wordpress, Miro and GitHub), and customer journey mapping tools

Strong eye for detail, stakeholder and verbal communications skills and ability to present content work to multiple areas of the business;
with a willingness to take on feedback.
