Lead and facilitate planning for admissions, transfers and discharges to the SMHRU anticipated with the changes to the SMHRU model in Southeast Queensland.
- Temporary Full-time opportunity to 31 December 2025.
The purpose of this role is to lead the changes to the referral and discharge pathways for the Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit (SMHRU) associated with the state-wide SMHRU relocation project. Undertake consultation with local teams, referring and receiving services to ensure the development and implementation of transition plans reflecting best practice clinical and non-clinical service models.
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Experience in management and leadership of mental health systems and processes for contemporary mental health services.
- Expert level of contemporary clinical mental health knowledge, expertise and skills in complex mental health clinical practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a complex stakeholder and system framework with internal and external service providers and partners to achieve project deliverables and optimum consumer outcomes.
- Ability to provide effective clinical leadership transition planning activities, utilising effective project and change management methodologies.
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association within Australia. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.

The possession of a tertiary degree in Social Work providing eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers is required.
