The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) - Staff Health works under the immediate direction of the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) - Staff Health to implement the delivery of the Staff Health Program to a broad range of employees across the Agency.As a dedicated resource for staff health matters, the CNS - Staff Health is responsible for providing direct staff health services in the area of communicable disease control including:
- Employee assessments and immunisation - Skin assessment for hand dermatitis associated with hand hygiene products - Contact tracing and case management of affected individuals, and managementof disease outbreaks. - Occupational exposure counselling and management

The role:

The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) - Staff Health works under the immediate direction of the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) - Staff Health to implement the delivery of the Staff Health Program to a broad range of employees across the Agency.

As a dedicated resource for staff health matters, the CNS - Staff Health is responsible for providing direct staff health services in the area of communicable disease control including:

  • Employee assessments and immunisation

  • Contact tracing and case management of affected individuals, and management of disease outbreaks.

The Staff Health team are based at the Launceston General Hospital and work within the broader infection control unit for Hospitals North.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, part time, day workerposition working 16hours per fortnight, commencing from 19 May 2024

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary:
$103,466 - $109,165per annum pro rata. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

  • Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 and Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Interim Agreement 2013

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a RegisteredNurse or Midwife

Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

Current Drivers Licence

Certificate as a Nurse Immuniser registered with Public Health within Tasmania
