We are currently recruiting a qualified Clinical Nurse Specialist with a background in Infection, Prevention and Control who is looking for an exciting career opportunity in Albany, Western Australia!

A rewarding and interesting role where you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of systems and processes for reporting, investigating and analysing Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs), and aligning these systems to the Regional risk management strategy.
  • Facilitate and implement the investigation of trends, clusters and/or outbreaks of HAIs and initiates relevant management throughout the Region, in collaboration with Public Health Services as appropriate.
  • Conducts annual regional visits to all Regional sites.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Expertise and experience in IPC with application of theoretical knowledge in clinical practice and research.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills including leading change and collaborative engagement with multidisciplinary staff.
  • Experience in planning, implementing and evaluating IPC programs, incorporating risk management and quality improvement strategies.
