A fabulous opportunity is available to join the dedicated team in Cancer Care at Nepean Hospital in the role of Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 working in a Permanent Full time role.
This imperative role will see you provide specialised care, information, education, and support to patients with a malignant Haematology diagnosis, whilst c o-ordinating care for patients with a malignant Haematology diagnosis who require complex care management, liaison, and care planning from a multidisciplinary perspective.
The CNS will facilitate the continuity of inpatient and outpatient clinic care liaising with the Haematology team and c oordinate the scheduling of procedures related to a malignant Haematology condition.

What you will bring to the role

  • Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  • Post registration qualifications in haematology/oncology nursing
  • At least 3 years full time equivalent experience working in haematology oncology
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a multidisciplinary team to improve patient and family/carer outcomes
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities according to best practice
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, family/carers, and a diverse range of health care providers
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical practice development
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, with minimal supervision maintaining involvement within the wider multidisciplinary team
