We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Diabetes to provide specialist nursing expertise within an interdisciplinary framework to assist individuals and their families/carers to adjust to living with diabetes and/or other endocrinology conditions including the provision of education and health promotion activities.Act as a clinical resource for internal and external stakeholders, including community organisation(s) and health professionals, to provide specialist advice, knowledge and support.

The role:

  • Provide specialist nursing expertise within an interdisciplinary framework to assist individuals and their families/carers to adjust to living with diabetes and/or other endocrinology conditions including the provision of education and health promotion activities.
  • Act as a clinical resource for internal and external stakeholders, including community organisation(s) and health professionals, to provide specialist advice, knowledge and support.

Permanent, full time, day workerposition working 76 hours per fortnightcommencing from as soon as you can join our team!

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary:
$103,466 - $109,165per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

  • Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 and Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Interim Agreement 2013

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements)

Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

Credentialed with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (CDEA)

Member of the ADEA or other relevant professional organisation(s)

  • Holds, or is working towards, a relevant postgraduate qualification
