We are a progressive and modern small animal clinic in the heart of Albury. We have a friendly team of vets and nurses with a mix of experience and skills who enjoy a collaborative work environment. The clinic is well equipped with in-house laboratory, full X-ray and ultrasound facilities, modern surgical theatre, and advanced monitoring equipment. We pride ourselves on providing high level veterinary services and outstanding client and patient care. We have previously had ASAVA hospital accreditation and are looking to become re-accredited in the future.

About the Position:

As Clinical Lead you will be responsible for maintaining our patient care and driving our high clinical standards. You will work closely with the support of our skilled Clinic Coordinator and the Apiam Business Team in the day-to-day running of the clinic. You will be a member of the management team responsible for the professional management of all clinical operations. Clinical operations include managing, training and supervising veterinary associates, graduates and nursing staff, as well as being hands-on in the delivery of veterinary services to patients and clients according to Apiam's high standards of care.

  • Full time position with a 4-day work week.
  • On call shared amongst the team until 10pm only and with the support of our dedicated after-hours triage nurses to filter calls. With the new emergency centre opening in town, we will have the ability to utilise their services for ongoing care of our patients in the future.
  • Interesting caseload with opportunity to see everything from complex medical cases to emergencies.
  • Experienced veterinary surgeon in clinic with two dedicated days for referral surgery including orthopaedics.
  • Practise a high standard of medicine with a team that is dedicated to providing excellent veterinary care.
  • Be supported in your progression with our Leadership Development Program and the strong supportive network of peers from other industry leading clinics in Apiam.
  • Assistance in mentoring your new and recent graduates from our excellent graduate development program.

About You:

  • You have 5+ years' vet experience and have demonstrated mentoring and management capabilities.
  • You are ready to move up into a leadership role and are enthusiastic about leading a team and running your own clinic.
  • You are looking for a modern, well-equipped clinic and the ability to practise medicine to a high standard.
  • You are looking to be part of a great team who you can collaborate on cases but are also excited about mentoring the next generation of vets.
  • You have a strong interest in small animal medicine and surgery and are looking to continue improving yourself with all the support structures which Apiam can provide.
  • You are invested in providing a high standard of care in an ASAV accredited small animal clinic.
