Clinical leadership and support for high performing Family Violence Counselling and Support Service

The role:

  • In consultation with the Statewide Manager, Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) provide professional clinical leadership, supervision and direction to team leaders, for all programs within the Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) and resolve more complex or critical professional/clinical problems and issues, including through collaboration with other Safe at Home Partners and non-government service providers.
  • Assist the Statewide Manager, Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) to develop policy and procedures for clinical services provided by the Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) to ensure services provided are of the highest professional standard and informed by contemporary practice and policy theory, and that it is based on in-depth professional knowledge and evidence-based decision making and supports an integrated response to family violence.
  • Foster high level stakeholder engagement and partnerships to build relationships across government and non-government services that provide family violence services.
  • In collaboration with the Statewide Manager, Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) provide leadership in the establishment and ongoing high level ethical and professional standards and practice which facilitate ongoing improvement in the Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS), including through coordination of complex case consultation, critical reflection on practice, review of critical workplace incidents, mentorship and practice development activities so that the safety needs of clients are properly assessed and supported to achieve outcomes.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, part time, day worker position working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary:
$131,070 to $134,268 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association.
  • Significant experience in Family Violence Support Services including knowledge of relevant legislation and therapeutic modalities for trauma resolution.
  • Working with Vulnerable People Registration (WWVPR)

  • Postgraduate studies in relevant clinical area/s, public health, health service leadership, or project management/research
  • Experience/credentialled for providing professional supervision
  • Current Driver's Licence
