About You

  • Y ou have a demonstrated ability to provide complex care and have advanced clinical skills.
  • You are highly organised with excellent communication skills.
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) is required, along with post-graduate qualifications relevant to the specialty and a minimum of 3 years' full-time equivalent clinical experience in the specified post-graduate field.

Where You'll Be Working

The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS 2) is responsible for delivering complex specialist nursing care and leading the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery to provide effective quality care for patients/clients with care needs specifically relating to their mental health.
The CNS 2 will be required to act as a lead with the Emergency Department Mental Health Team (EDMHT) and will be required to work specific shifts that are indicated by the busiest workload times.
The CNS 2 will accept, triage, and assess referrals received from the Emergency Department, Community Mental Health Services, General Practitioners and the Central Coast Mental Health Telephone Triage Line.
