About the opportunity
As the Business Quality Lead, you will oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure that all products sourced, imported, and sold in Australia comply with organizational and regulatory standards. You will manage one direct report, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and streamline processes both locally and internationally, in collaboration with other departments and regions. Success in this role requires excellent management, organizational, communication, and influencing skills, along with strong technical expertise in Quality Assurance.
Duties
- Establish a local Quality Management System aligned with global standards and local regulations for products sold in Australia, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.
- Lead the site quality team and manage compliance activities.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams both locally and internationally to identify and drive continuous improvement of the QMS through root cause analysis and CAPAs.
- Coordinate and conduct internal and external audits.
- Liasing with third party manufacturers ensuring compliance is upheld to the organization's standards.

Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in a Science related field.
- Minimum 7 years of QMS experience within medical devices or the pharmaceutical industry.
- Minimum 5 years of management experience.
- Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO22716, ISO13485, ISO14971 and HACCP
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Great organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
