To do this we are looking for two unique individuals passionate about driving real business success through deep strategic and commercial partnerships.

The role of Business Director has been designed to allow the right individual the flexibility and freedom to align our business with the ambitions and requirements of our clients. In this role, you will be surrounded by an immense amount of talent that thrives under composed and clear leadership. You will be accountable for the success of your team through a clear understanding and consistent sharing of what's important to our clients now and into the future, ensuring the right people are working on the right things to deliver shared value.
Responsibilities :

  • Effectively allocate and manage client relationships across the region.

  • Effectively allocate and manage the client success team across the region.

  • Drive sales in the region alongside the Commercial team and internal team, encompassing inside sales, new business, cross-sells, and upsells.

  • Develop client business plans and ensure their execution by the CSMs in the region.

  • Ensure client and region profitability through strategic management and tracking metrics.

  • Support training and coaching to CSMs regarding products, platforms, and client strategy, staying abreast of industry trends.

  • Manage any client escalations to achieve mutually beneficial resolutions.

  • Collaborate with other Business Directors to achieve national performance targets and ensure alignment between sales and operations.

  • Be actively involved in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new CSM team members.

  • Develop, manage, and adhere to operational budgets/forecasts for the region.

  • Negotiate contracts for mutually beneficial outcomes.

Skills, experience &
attributes required:

  • Strong background in retail, eCommerce, and digital.

  • Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role, managing multiple team members.

  • Demonstrated experience in client relationship management and business development.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalise on emerging opportunities in the eCommerce industry.

  • Financial acumen with the ability to manage operational budgets and understand profit and loss dynamics, utilising financial insights for strategic decision-making.

  • Proactive mindset with a natural curiosity and drive to explore new opportunities and solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.

  • Exposure to Google Suite and proficiency in best practice digital tools, including social media, plugins, and applications relevant to the ecommerce ecosystem.

  • Strong attention to detail in both client work output and internal review processes.

  • Willingness to travel to clients' sites and maintain a balance between office and client meetings.
