The Ballarat Community Health (BCH) Board of Directors is responsible for creating a governance environment that acts in the best interests of the organisation and drives performance. This includes, among other things:

  • setting the vision, strategy and direction of the organisation
  • having ultimate accountability for the delivery of safe and quality services
  • ensuring the ongoing financial viability of the organisation
  • succession planning and performance of the CEO
  • overall oversight of organisational performance

As a skills-based board, Directors are recruited for the skills, experience, and competencies that they have developed from their personal and professional activities, and which they will continue to develop while on the Board.

BCH is currently seeking a Director who can bring experience and expertise at a senior level in strategy development and oversight, preferably in a large not-for-profit setting within the health sector .

These skills will support the Board as it oversees implementation of BCH's strategic direction and fulfills its governance responsibilities.
