Overview:
Our client in the healthcare sector is seeking a highly skilled Security Consultant for a 6-month contract with the option of permanency at completion. This role requires a proficient administrator who can lead a Microsoft Defender implementation, focusing extensively on Azure and Office 365 environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in security, risk identification, and issue resolution, combined with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation of Microsoft Defender across the organization.
• Manage and secure Azure and Office 365 environments.
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate security risks, issues, and compromises.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are followed.
• Provide security training and guidance to staff.
• Respond to security incidents and lead investigations to determine root causes.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on security status, incidents, and resolutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Security Consultant or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Defender, Azure, and Office 365 security features.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Experience with risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various teams.
• Relevant certifications (e.G., CISSP, CISM, Azure Security Engineer) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the healthcare sector.
• Experience with security compliance standards and regulations (e.G., HIPAA).
• Familiarity with other security tools and technologies.
