In this role, you will work closely with our Heads of Architecture in designing and implementing cloud platforms for high-profile Australian brands across various industries. Your involvement will help organisations modernise their data ecosystems and drive business benefits.

We're seeking an Azure Data Architect with strong Databricks experience to enhance our data platform and drive insightful analytics for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct architectural reviews of our Azure data platform, identifying areas for optimization and scalability.
  2. Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and architect data solutions aligned with business objectives.
  3. Design and implement data pipelines using Azure services like Azure Databricks, Data Factory, and Synapse Analytics.
  4. Lead Databricks implementations, managing data ingestion, transformation, and analytics.
  5. Provide technical leadership, guiding junior team members and fostering innovation.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data architecture and cloud technologies.
  7. Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and regulatory standards.
  8. Drive continuous improvement of our data platform's efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven years of experience in data architecture, with a focus on Azure solutions.
  2. Expertise in Azure services, especially Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, SQL Database, and Storage.
  3. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Scala.
  4. Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and Databricks.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  7. Excellent consulting skills.
