Our client is a multi-discipline firm providing accounting, business advisory, tax planning structuring and succession planning, corporate advisory and mergers and acquisition to their dedicated client base.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Audit Director to lead our audit team in Public Practice. The Audit Director will oversee all aspects of audit engagements, ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining high-quality standards, and providing exceptional service to our clients. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of audit methodologies, and a commitment to excellence.
This is a rare opportunity which genuinely offers progression where you will ultimately end up looking after the whole Audit division. Alongside this, there is also the chance to build, develop and manage a team which you will have complete autonomy for.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Provide guidance and support to audit team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and professional development.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends, ensuring compliance and best practices in audit processes and procedures.
  • Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and other relevant documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions and meet client needs.

Qualifications:

  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in public practice, with a focus on audit services.
  • Proven track record of managing complex audit engagements and delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, regulations, and accounting principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
