Associate Director Finance Program Director

The Finance Transformation team are enabling Finance to become a modern, scalable, function of the future. In a period where technology is driving a rapid need to adapt, the team oversee a large portfolio of transformation initiatives designed to reimagine the way we work and to ensure we meet our reporting obligations including financial, regulatory and tax reporting to our global regulators.

This will be offered as a 12 month max term contract or permanent opportunity.

What role you will play?

As a Program Director, you will work closely with the Finance leadership team and stakeholders across Macquarie to provide oversight to a number of projects being delivered across our financial reporting platform Workiva. These initiatives include transformation of our Group Accounts and Globally Systemically Important Banks reporting and others.

You will draw on your program delivery expertise to provide leadership to a team of project management and finance professionals, to optimise delivery practices and to ensure effective prioritisation of deliverables. Given the wide-reaching impacts of the program, you will leverage exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills to drive a culture of collaboration and performance.

As the program evolves, you will be presented with the opportunity to develop the platform strategy across Macquarie, optimising the ongoing management and utilisation of our Workiva platform.

  • Experience working on large scale transformation projects within the Financial services sector, ideally within a Finance function
  • Experience in Agile, waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies and a proven track record of meeting deadlines
  • An analytical risk management mindset, prioritisation skills, and decision-making ability to efficiently solve problems and understand when/how to escalate
  • A strategic thinker with demonstrated commercial acumen who is able to align program objectives with broader organisational goals
  • Adaptability in a dynamic environment where priorities shift across multiple initiatives with hard deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills with the ability to work at different levels across different disciplines
  • Experience in the management of a Finance platform will be highly regarded.
