Associate - Administrative / Public Lawyer

Alra | australia's leading recruitment agency - Melbourne
new offer (01/07/2024)

job description

Here you will be advising and representing the Commonwealth of Australia in merits review proceedings before the AAT, whilst diversifying your skills across workers' compensation and personal injury, employment law, and occupational health and safety matters with non-government clients. The Partner you'll be reporting to is a strong mentor and will support your technical development across these areas of practice.

For the merits review work, we are ideally looking for a Lawyer with experience running their own matters, appearing in tribunals, and instructing counsel. You will be supported to develop strategies to progress your matters, but we are looking for someone who can operate reasonably autonomously on the merits review work.

This is a national mid-tier that offers unmatched flexibility amongst the major firms. It's fine if you only want to be in the office 1 or 2 days per week, and we are even open to considering this is a 100% remote/WFH position if you reside regionally or interstate.

As a Legal Recruitment specialist with over 15 years experience I can guarantee your application is in good hands. The market is small and confidentiality is key. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have about this position or to discuss other options currently available in the market.
