A fantastic opportunity has opened up for an Assistant Analyst to support the Business Controller – SC&
OE in providing financial business partnership to the Supply Chain &
Operational Excellence group (+A$300m COGS) and other business units as required.
The Assistant Analyst will specifically support the Sydney Manufacturing Site &
Engineering Managers, Procurement team and NPI project owners. Key responsibilities include month end reporting, maintaining standard cost and transfer price, managing capex process, inventory reporting, slow moving &
obsolete stock provisioning and supporting key projects as required.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Preparing and reporting relevant financial information;
Maintaining aneffective control environment;
Following relevant quality procedures in order to deliver quality products and services and identify and support the implementation of continuous improvement;
Contribute ideas on systems and process methods to improve deliverables;
Undertake additional quality responsibilities (e.G. audit) when appropriately trained to undertake these responsibilities;
Work safely, complying with all safety procedures, rules and instructions;
and reporting workplacehazards, incidents or injuries to manager.
+5 years commercial experience in a multinational organisation
Experience in a Manufacturing costing environment
Strong communication and presentation skills
Confident in dealing with a range of stakeholders (department managers, project managers, technical engineers)
Demonstrated ability to drive process excellence
Strong in Microsoft Excel, attention to detail and advanced financial modelling
Good working knowledge of MS Powerpoint and Word
Experience in Tier 1 systems including ERP (preferably Oracle or similar), BI (preferably Hyperion or similar)
Professional accounting qualifications (Chartered Accountant, CPA or CIMA)
Experience in medical device manufacturing
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
