YOUR MISSIONAs the Assistant Accountant of this global business, you will be responsible for supporting the day to day functions of the Finance team and reporting to the Finance Director. The role will include responsibilities of accounts payable, billing administration, client and internal sales queries and reconciliations. You will therefore be working across all levels of the organisation from customer facing issues to internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships and establish creditability quickly.This is an opportunity to join a very fast paced high growth company. We expect that if you can demonstrate success in this role, there will be opportunities for future role growth in the finance department as the company continues to expand.
Accounts Payable:
Accurate processing of supplier invoices into the ERP software
Weekly payment of suppliers within credit terms
Managing employee expense reimbursement software (Expensify)Billing Administration
Answering daily customer billing queries to ensure customers receive an outstanding
Customer experience
Updating billing administration for customer contract modifications
Assist the Customer Accountant in ad-hoc queriesMonth End Reporting, Reconciliations and Processes
Month end balance sheet reconciliations
Allocation of daily cash receipts using bank reconciliation software
Processing and reconciling credit card statements
Documenting and improving processes
Professional accounting degree
Commercial work experience (either while studying or ideally post graduation)
2+ years of experience in a similar role
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
Passion to learn and grow
Comfort dealing with ambiguity
