The position will require expertise and experience across core finance activities plus business partnering, project delivery, data analysis and financial modelling. Success in this role requires a hands on and collaborative approach. This is a contract role based in Sydney. Successful candidates must be willing to undergo a Police check.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting and maintenance of the funds availability model on a day-to-day basis, including detailed tracking, reporting, analysis in relation to funding received, grants approved, contracted, and paid, as well as projecting availability of future funds.
• Assist on projects as directed by the Director/Assistant Director, Business Partnering and Projects, including supporting the delivery of vital reporting, building and reviewing models, collaboration and efficiency enhancement initiatives and projects across the broader Agency.
• Assisting with data maintenance, tracking and reporting of financial metrics and other KPIs, and assisting with other processes across the broader team.
• Assisting delivery of budgeting and planning processes;

• Engaging with and partnering with business areas to add value across the organisation on numerous matters and initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Business or similar.
• Financial modelling experience - reviewing, maintaining, and working with complex data sets.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with, build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally.
• Project planning and delivery experience.
• Good commercial acumen and insight, analytical mindset and demonstrated high-level problem solving.
• Demonstrated ability to operate as an effective member of the team, work with genuine and supportive collaboration with other team members.
• An ability to consider and effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and adhering to deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills including constructively raising issues for resolution and actively contributing to positive workplace relationships.
• High standards of professionalism, integrity, and impartiality.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including a business and customer focus
