Job Description

Key responsibilities for the APS 6 Finance Business Partner

• Preparing timely financial reports, with value-add analysis that allows internal stakeholders to make informed decision.
• Meet with stakeholders to provide high quality strategic financial advice and support
• Developing and coordinating budgets and forecasts for internal stakeholders
• Assist with preparation of monthly and annual financial statements for the agency and key stakeholders
• Assist with monthly reporting activities including reconciliations and journal entering.
• Assist with the Agency's asset management and statutory tax function

The Successful Applicant

We are seeking individuals with the following skills and capabilities:

• Well-developed organisation skills with strong attention to detail and a sound analytical ability
• Demonstrated experience working as a finance business partner.
• Demonstrated experience working in financials, spreadsheets and financial applications/software
• Team player with strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to foster relationships in order to deliver high quality advice and support to stakeholders that may include Senior Executive
• Sound knowledge of legislative, financial, and administrative frameworks, government decision-making processes and agency guidelines and regulations.
• Relevant experience in government financial processes will be highly regarded.

The successful APS 6 Finance Business Partner will receive a salary of circa $90,000 - $100,000 + 15.4% super - depending on experience
